good looking....low self esteem!!! help?

please help....

I get alot of attention from girls...but the ones i really want, dont want me!!

like last night i was dancing with this girl and her friend asked me if she liked me and she said 'no'.....felt like **** to be honest and really played on my mind...

why cant i get the girls i want!!! they flirt a bit and then they turn me down sometimes!!

whats wrong with me?? am i cursed or is there something wrong with me from everyone else??

like when i was in school i was a chubby kid and no girls liked me or i wasnt in with the popular groups...made fun of etc.

now i'm in good shape get attention it doesnt feel right..im 22 btw!!! woulod my past effet me now???

how can i change me for the better...i feel whatever i do i wont get it in life...especially if i want it!!!
