An idea for an addition to Yahoo! Answers!?

How does this sound, as an addition to Yahoo! Answers languages: to prevent people from using Google Translate to answer questions, and therefore to prevent incorrect answers from being provided, in order to answer questions in the Languages section, you have to take a language test to prove that you can speak the language. And make it impossible for people to use Google Translate to pass the test, but make the test easy enough that if you're good at the language, you can easily pass it. Honestly, while it would be nice to know that translation answers were accurate, your idea sounds way too complicated. It would keep many people who knew the answer from answering.

Keep in mind that Answers is for informational purposes only, and that they never guarantee the accuracy of any answers. There are other categories such as Health and Law & Ethics that people can answer in without being a medical or legal expert, so I don't think it would be right to single out Languages for such strict screening of answerers.
