Looking to buy a car (acura TL 3.2 vs Nissan Altima?
Im currently been saving and am now ready to purchase a car. Im either looking at a used Acura TL 3.2 between 2004-6 or a car I have had once before a Nissan Altima. I look for a few things in a car but the Acura TL models seem to favor me. What are some issues that I should look into before purchasing this Acura TL.

When it comes to comfort, handling and reliability, the Acura TL tops the Altima. That's not to say that the Altima is a bad car. The TL is just a better car overall.

Altima: More fuel efficient (probably around 27 mpg), less power (175 hp), not so much luxury, not as reliable as Honda's V-TEC system, FWD
TL: Less fuel efficient (about 19 mpg), more power (about 275 hp), more luxury, very reliable (most V-TEC engines can run up until about 300k miles smoothly), FWD
I'd for the TL. The 2004-2008 models are the best in my opinion.

There is no way that the altima is better than the TL . Buy TL you will not regret.

No common issues in TL's. They are extremely reliable and have very high resale values.
The Altima is pretty reliable too, but has a few problems with high mileage in terms of intake manifold gasket going bad. $400-600 fix. Usually goes bad around 90,000-140,000 miles.
The TL is a completely different animal. More power and speed, more luxury, smoother and quieter ride.
