can i claim a parent as a dependent on my taxes if they are working and not disabled?

My mother is elderly and in her 60s, but she is still working and not disabled, I was wondering If i would be able to claim her as a dependent on my taxes or if that would be an invalid claim?

Update:

yes she lives with me for more than 50% of the year

Generally you can only claim your mother if her non-social security income for the year was less than $3,700 and you paid for more than half of her support.

That would be tax fraud. She is NOT dependent on you to support her. Therefore, she is not your dependent.

What do you think the word "dependent" means?

Did she live with you for more than 50% of the year?
