what are your opinions on this tattoo for a female?
It's the Joker from The Killing Joke

I'm not interested in "tattoos are ugly" blah blah blah, the Joker has a LONG history for me, and this is the tattoo I'm getting, I'm not looking for anyone to approve, I was just curious how people might perceive it!
@Jadee: It's going on my upper right thigh!
@ Key: I've already got tattoos, and I have absolutely no concern of what people would think, I was just curious what the reaction may be! I love it, my family is more than all for it since they know that book literally changed my life (weird, I know, but it did!), my opinion matters to me :) It was truthfully just out of curiosity

Tattoos are basically permanent. Ask yourself if you want that on your body for the rest of your life. If it is meaningful, which it sounds like it is, then go for it! Think carefully about where you want it; no matter what you say, society has something of an aversion to tattoos, and you probably don't want it in a place where it will be a problem at work and such. Your upper thigh is probably a decent spot in that department.
As far as how people might perceive it: I would think it would certainly start conversations. People who recognize it will certainly be interested. It is not "feminine" in the same way a flower or butterfly is, but it is unique in a way that those tattoo are not, and probably has meaning in a way they do not, and is therefore probably a much better choice.

Well i am a big fan of the 'joker' But i do not like this tattoo. I do not like it for a female nor a male. Trust me though, if YOU like it, that is all that matters, if you are going to get a tattoo and you are already concerned about what others think about it, you definitely should not be getting one.

I think its alright. It just looks like hes going crazy hahaha. Where are you getting it??? And as long as your happy with it then who cares what other people think about it or how they percieve it. Talking to your tattoo artist he might be able to work off of that picture and create something even more wicked. Wicked as in good awesome ect not scary ect. Good luck
