Why are the pyramid and the all seeing eye still on the U.S. dollar bill?
Those are masonic and Egyptian symbols. What does this have to do with American ideals?

Everything about this question is flawed. First of all, they're not Masonic symbols. The only truly "Masonic symbol" is the Square & Compasses. They're also not Egyptian symbols. Sure, there are pyramids in Egypt...but there are also pyramids in Mexico, Peru, China, and many other parts of the world. And Egyptians may have used the All Seeing Eye, but so have many other cultures. And the Great Seal of the United States has only been on the $1 bill since the 30s. I think you meant to ask, "Why are they still on the Great Seal of the United States"? Well...why would we change the seal?
The All Seeing Eye (also called The Eye of Providence) is used by Freemasonry, but that doesn't make it a Masonic symbol. There's an American flag hanging in every American Masonic Lodge, but that doesn't make the flag a Masonic symbol, right? The All Seeing Eye is merely a symbol for God, and serves as reminder that God is always watching you so you should be a good person and do good things...which is one of the things Freemasonry teaches its members. But the symbol has been used for thousands of years by countless groups, organizations, and individuals. It was actually a very popular symbol at the time our country was created, and appeared in many places, most of them having nothing to do with Freemasonry at all. I wasn't there for the meetings of the committee that designed the Great Seal, so I can only speculate as to why they included the All Seeing Eye...but the most likely explanation is that it was meant to show that God was watching the founding of our great republic, and (hopefully) approved of what the Founding Fathers were doing.
What does the pyramid mean? Again, we can only speculate. But the most likely explanation is that it symbolizes building something. What were they building? A republic, of course...a democratic republic with a government that derives its powers from the consent of the governed, and exists for the purpose of protecting them and their rights. You have to understand how remarkable that whole concept was at the time to appreciate the symbolism. The pyramid is incomplete because that work wasn't finished yet. When will it be finished? It NEVER will, because we must always stay vigilant and make sure our government always serves us, the people. So the pyramid will never be complete.
Sorry to disappoint you, but Freemasons did not design the Great Seal of the United States. Benjamin Franklin was the only Freemason on that committee, and his ideas were largely ignored...perhaps because he wanted our national symbol to be a turkey instead of an eagle (that's the other side of the Great Seal).

They are neither strictly Masonic nor Egyptian. Note the condition of the pyramid, it is 13 levels and still being built. The original country was 13 Colonies and still being built. It is under the Eye of God because without God nothing can be built that will endure.

Tradition. That's all I can think of. You have a better idea about what should be on the dollar? Neither does anyone else.
