Is it okay to have sex during your period?

It's a little messy, but perfectly fine. As for getting pregnant, the egg has already passed through your uterus thus starting your period, so the chances are nil.

It's fine to have sex on your period. Don't worry about that. As far as getting pregnant goes, you can find an online ovulation calculator to tell you when you're most likely to get pregnant. That way you can just tell your partner that you don't want to have sex on those days, but still use condoms the rest of the month. Planning this way is far from fool proof.

You're right. That does sound stupid. Of course the blood can't back up. It will still come out even during sex. The risk of pregnancy is the same as any other time.

You can wear a soft cup to catch the menses and it makes it much cleaner. Most men can feel the cup at all. They aren't BC so, you'll still need to use a condom. I personally think it is NOT ok to have sex during your period... but I'm just basically writting a comment here to tell you that whoever here says you can't get pregnant during your period is wrong! You CAN get pregnant during your period. It is a known fact that a woman could get pregnant at ANYTIME during her cycle INCLUDING during her period. Just need to have an egg there....

It is more unlikely that you will get pregnant during that time, but it CAN happen.

It is VERY UNLIKELY you will get pregnant. It has been known to happen but is very uncommon. It is very messym but there is no reason to not do it as long as you are both fine with it. You will not get backed up.
