If animals lick dirty places like bottoms clean, how come they don't get sick and die.?

I just asked why animals don't have dirty bottoms even though they don't ever use paper and people are saying it's because they lick clean. I'm sure if humans did this, they'd get sick and probably die, so why don't animals.

The answer lies in humans, not animals. I do not think in general that direct contact with feces is a cause of gastroenteritis. Can I suggest you consider a career in investigating the cause of diarrhoea which kills so many infants in the third world, as you have just the sort of enquiring mind that is needed to crack this problem? I think infant diarrhoea is a respiratory illness, bugs being spread through the air and not by direct contact with contaminated objects. Had researchers asked themselves the above question, they should have realised direct contact could not have been a major cause.

They are made differently from us. Could a dog use a flannel and soap to wash its bits clean? Can we physically lick our own bottoms (assuming we arent contortionists)? So thats the reason there is a difference between humans and animals. Some animals and birds can eat carrion (dead flesh that may have been deceased for several days) and not get ill, but we cant do that either without getting severe food poisoning or worse. We were all created to be different, and thats why we are so varied from the animals.

Other animals don't have choice and are not aware; they live by the instinct they were given; so it's unlikely nature would make them sick. Humans on the other hand couldn't clean themselves as other animals do and so have the knowledge of choice but it still doesn't stop some from being filthy and spreading disease.
