What is sekaiichi-hatsukoi about?

From the little knowledge I've gathered, it's a shonen ai/ yaoi manga, and it looks pretty good. I'm not %100 sure what it's about, though. Help?

It's not really "about" much. It's a slice-of-life/romance/comedy that just focuses on the daily lives and relationships of several men. The couple it focuses on the most is two men who were in a relationship in high school, but ended the relationship on somewhat bad terms because of a misunderstanding. Years later, the younger one gets a job at a publishing company in the shoujo manga department (something he hates at first, although he eventually starts taking his job more seriously), and to his surprise and chagrin, his boyfriend from high school is in charge of that department. Things go from there. And as I said, the show also focuses on two other male couples. Couple #2 is a mangaka and his childhood friend, who is also his editor (although the mangaka's assistant is also in the mix), and couple #3 is a guy who works at a book store and an editor where the editor's manga is sold. Both the childhood friend character from couple #2 and the editor from couple #3 work in the same shoujo manga department as the main couple, so it's all sort of connected. But as I said, rather than having any kind of real plot, it just sort of follows these couples through the ups and downs in their relationships and careers.

I enjoyed the series most for the great comedy and the well-written dialog, the likable characters, and that fact that it involved the relationships of adults (a nice departure from the usual high school romance most often seen in anime). Personally, I'm indifferent towards yaoi/BL, so that part of it didn't make much of a difference for me one way or the other.

Sekaiichi Hatsukoi means in English "The world's greatest first love" because the manga is mostly about first love.

The main pairing is about Ritsu, who started working at a editing company. To his surprise he ended up working at the shoujo department. There he meets is bossy boss Takano Masamune, who he later realizes was his high school ex.

The story is pretty funny and amusing. I liked it, and if you are a fan of the anime/manga Junjou Romantica, then you'll love this. As for my own opinion, its pretty much so-so. So if I were to give it a grade it would be 8/10. It's pretty clinched, you see. And I really don't believe in first love etc... Though the manga is really funny...

If you've sn junjou romantica then it's exactly like that. Same artist/creator and story but it's based off of 3 totally new couples. If you don't know what junjou is then you're missing out.

Sekai is basically about 3 male couples (ritsu and takano mainly) and it's really good. I highly suggest you check it out if you don't mind yaoi. It's also really lovey dovet and very intense scene that make you want to scream at the characters xD it's sook good >.< there are 2 seasons like Junjou and both have 26 eps

It's about gay couples who work for a shoujo magazine company. It revolves around 3 couples. If you've seen Junjou Romantica, then you'll find it to be very similar to Sekaiichi Hatsukoi.
