Why are we subsidizing sweatshops who hire illegal aliens?

Notice that these sweatshops and sweatfarms lol I don't know what else to call it. Well anyway I don't think we should get visas to supply those failed businesses if they can't afford to pay people minimum wage. We live in a Capitalist system which means that we are not allowed to subsidize farms or factories who hire illegal aliens. What those places are doing is pushing their expenses onto the local Governments. They pay so little that people need to apply for assistance from the Government. When that does not work they aid and abet illegal activity by undermining our borders. Then they encourage them to get free services from again the local Governments. These businesses already failed in my opinion. They should not be subsidized because the managers have a pea brain that is incapable of doing much but coming up with illegal criminal activity. They operate like the mafia and hurt the whole system in general.

In a Capitalist system those businesses that need to hire illegal aliens. Should be fined and monitored if need be. The Government should not bend over backwards for them. Then the minimum wage should be raised so that people can get back to work. Once people are working and the unemployment is low. Then we could talk about worker visas. But it should only be for one person not an entire family.

Update:

@StevenG- Yes cheaper for the company but so much more expensive for everyone else. Remember they get benefits for free from our Government which is you and me. In other words they are pushing their bills to us.

Because as you see by your answers there is a pervading mentality that it's perfectly okay to do so because you are lifting these people out of poverty (even though they live 20 to a 1 bedroom apartment because they are illegals they are allowed to as we aren't). Yes, these people listen to the school of Mitt Romney - Robber Baron extraordinaire. Yes, when Pennybag's children where "fired" the families starved to death thus, they should have been allowed to work themselves to death at least instead of starving like a feudal serf. Amazing how so many Ultra Conservatives think it's perfectly okay to pay substandard wages to illegals because they don't want to pay standard wages to legal Citizens. And then these same people scream about the unemployment benefits going beyond 99 weeks. Are you people for real? Do you realize that in order to have purchasing power you need to pay a wage that will afford that? Your profits are not going to magically appear without you paying wages and taxes. Sorry. That's the way it works. As the old saying goes, It takes money to make money.

I am all for free enterprise and conservatism but if we leave the illegals out of the equation and don't have to pay their welfare benefits also, there should be plenty of money left over to pay legal employees a good wage to live on and buy products.

What you fail to realize is that working in those sweatshops and sweatfarms is a STEP UP for those people over their previous existence.

The USA and it's people didn't start out as prosperous. It took many decades of gradually increasing our prosperity so working conditions and salaries improved.

I'm reminded of a controversy a few years back where some folks in the USA were outraged about child labor in some foreign clothing factories. To avoid the backlash, the factories fired the kids, many of whom were working to support their families and themselves. End result? Kids and families starving or forced into prostitution because of liberals with good intentions.

I'm not sure I understand, but are you talking about migrant farmers (really "pickers")? Don't they have special permits to work?

Anyway, I used to live out West and the Southwest, and I've always said, if these states are upset about illegal immigration, the people of those states should stop hiring them. That's all it would take. You wouldn't need laws that end up harassing US citizens because they have brown skin.

I agree with most of that. Yes it is straight up organized crime and we all pay for it. It's part of the reason Cali is so far in the hole.

For the record, the Arizona Law (that Holder bashed before even READING IT) does nail employers of illegals and even strips their license for repeat offenses. But OBAMA and HOLDER sued the state over the law!

Well when you can save a few thousand by not meeting the demands of "VERY DEMANDING" Americans, you can always use illegal labor.

Tax Codes, Angry Workers, B""" and complaining employees", people who think they're intitled to things, ---Meh!!!

I'll hire Eduardo and his buddies, they'll get the job done without much pay or regulation!

In this economy you'd have to be an idiot not to!

Great argument to stop subsidizing any corporations, regardless who they support at election time.
