Question for liberals...?

...and conservatives!

There's a lot of party bashing going on on Yahoo! Answers. I'll admit it, we're bored mother f*ckers around here. But let's all (who are willing) take a minute and credit someone from the opposing party (or viewpoint) with an accomplishment we deem worthwhile.

It would be nice to have some sincere responses, but I have to expect a few sarcastic answers. I'm guilty of a few myself.

But anyway, I'll go first:

In 2010, Barack Obama signed a law banning "crush" videos depicting the torture and killing of animals.

Hey, I was in the middle of answering your question on abortion as healthcare, but it looks like you chose a best answer when I was still writing, so I wanted to put it here instead:

Yes, I believe it does, or at least, it qualifies as healthcare in as much as does contraception; they are both medications or surgical procedures that need to be administered under the supervision of a licensed, trained physician, or performed by a licensed, trained physician. They both come with small but present risk to one's health, and they both are used when medically indicated as well as when not (abortion is much like Cesarean section; they can be medically indicated, or they can be elective).

In as much as pregnancy represents an interruption in her current physical health to a woman, abortion is one medical course of action to alleviate it (the other being to accept the risks that come with pregnancy and childbirth and continue the pregnancy).

    Hope that helps!
