How do you deal with a compulsive liar?

There's not much you can do about it if he's done it for a while. My uncles is like that, too. He lies so much he believes hisself.. it's sad. But, if it bothers you so bad just confront him. Tell him it bothers you. If that doesn't work then, everytime he lies tell him you know what he said isn't true and eventually he will realize you know more then he thinks.

This can't be approached as a situation that you could possibly "fix".

The only thing you will have any control over is your own behavior. Everyone has to live their own life. If that's how he wants to live it...let him. If it's problematic for you...then remove yourself from the situation. You can choose not to deal with it much more easily then he could choose to stop doing it.

He needs professional help from a counselor. There is a reason for his behavior, but neither you or I are going to be able to figure it out. Try talking him into seeing somebody with a medical degree.

First of all, you must DOUBT EVERYTHING HE HAS SAID OR WILL EVER SAY TO YOU.

This ESPECIALLY includes any insults, harassment, threats etc etc EVER thrown your way. They were all a lie.

u intentionally lie too. like more than enough. lie soooooooooooooooooo much that he will soon realizes and then reflect on how annoying it is when ppl keep lying.

You can't STOP this behavior!!! Just don't believe anything he says.

Tell him that u dont believe nothing he says, and you cant trust him.
