Why do conservative pundits flip flop so much?
I was just listening to 99.7 here in Nashville. Chris Plante stated that since people accept government assistance, I.e., welfare and food stamps, then the gov has the right to say what they can and cannot buy with EBT cards.
Then he totally flip flops on the current issue between the catholic church and Obama concerning contraception. He stated that, even though catholic hospitals and such receive government funding, that the gov has no say in how the money is spent.
Are all conservative pundits as hypocritical as this guy?

Yes. Yes they are. Just like Limbaugh and Beck, they know their audience has a very short attention span, and so they can get away with it.

Catholic hospitals DO NOT receive government funding unless you consider some of the money patients pay their medical bills with originated in the medicare or medicaid programs. If that is true and makes a Catholic Hospital a government institution(GIANT FREAKING LEAP OF LOGIC) then all non-profits and all churches and all mosques are also government institutions because some of the money that gets donated to them comes from the federal government in some way as a retirement check, social security, or a tax refund.
That means there is no religious freedom of any kind any longer because government prints the dollar bills people donate.
Get a grip and maybe some education.

The hospitals recieve government funding because they have to adhere to government regulations, like helping everyone that comes in through their doors even if they don't have insurance. The government is already telling them some of what they have to do

You are trying to compare apples to oranges and its not working.
It is OUR money that people receiving food stamps are spending....so yes, it is OUR choice what they can spend it on.
As to the Catholic hospitals...the fact that they are funded in part by tax dollars is WHY the lawsuit didn't fly.

That's funny, cause I was just watching how OWE BAMA has flipped flopped on the PAC's and now he's flip flopping on gay marriage, he just said his feelings about it are 'evolving'. Hmm...pot meet kettle.
