Can someone get me excommunicated...?
...I left catholicism a few decades ago and am atheist.
I wish to be excommunicated so they quit including me in their tally of adherents.

8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality7 years agoSince the bible shows that lying, evil spirits are from God...?
...then why do christians claim these things are from Satan?
1Ki 22:23
Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a [lying spirit] in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken [evil] concerning thee.
1Sa 16:14
But the [Spirit] of the LORD departed from Saul, and an [evil spirit] from the LORD troubled him.
1Sa 16:15
And Saul's servants said unto him, Behold now, an [evil spirit] from God troubleth thee.

1 AnswerReligion & Spirituality7 years agoRepublicans: Do you want your rights taken away?
Don't like gay marriages? Don't get one.
Don't like cigarettes? Don't smoke.
Don't like abortions? Don't have one.
Don't like sex? Don't do it.
Don't like drugs? Don't do them.
Don't like porn? Don't watch it.
Don't like alcohol? Don't drink it.
Don't like guns? Don't buy one.
Don't like your rights taken away?
Then don't take away someone else's.
Why do Republicans not get this?
18 AnswersPolitics9 years agoDo these conservatives even know what an 'entitlement' even is?
They even call Social Security an 'entitlement'
I PAID cash for my Social Security insurance. Our benefits aren't some charity or handout.
Now let's look at the congressional benefits and see which is really an 'entitlement' or 'welfare':
Congressional benefits = premium federal health care, outrageous retirement packages, 67 paid holidays, 3 weeks paid vacation, unlimited paid sick days.
Now which is really 'welfare'?

...when they have never held any other candidate (including their own) to the same standard?
20 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWhy do conservative pundits flip flop so much?
I was just listening to 99.7 here in Nashville. Chris Plante stated that since people accept government assistance, I.e., welfare and food stamps, then the gov has the right to say what they can and cannot buy with EBT cards.
Then he totally flip flops on the current issue between the catholic church and Obama concerning contraception. He stated that, even though catholic hospitals and such receive government funding, that the gov has no say in how the money is spent.
Are all conservative pundits as hypocritical as this guy?

5 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWhy is it wrong to make abortion legal?
Some of you act as if by making abortion legal, the government, is making women get them. Fact is, legal or not, women will still choose to have an abortion or not.
By making it legal, at least women aren't forced to have back alley abortions or use a coat hanger on themselves?

15 AnswersPolitics9 years agoIsn't the tea party confused about the US Constitution?
Tea Party is always claiming they want to get back to states rights and they claim that following the constitution is the way to do this.
However, since the US Constitution was made to keep the states somewhat, in check, especially since the states were getting crazy about religious intolerance and such, is it not antithetical to the tea party's goal?

4 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWhy do GOPers call Obama the 'foodstamp president' when ole Dubya won the title?
From factcheck.org: They show that under President George W. Bush the number of recipients rose by nearly 14.7 million. Nothing before comes close to that.
Under Obama, the increase so far has been 14.2 million. To be exact, the program has so far grown by 444,574 fewer recipients during Obama's time in office than during Bush's.
CBS News noted that the increase in food stamps enrollment "hardly makes Obama the 'best food stamp president in American history,' " pointing out that the "percent increase in beneficiaries during George W. Bush's presidency was higher than it has been under Mr. Obama."
14 AnswersPolitics9 years agoDo you blame Obama for the wealthy businesses moving jobs overseas?
...instead of hiring workers here in the USA?
Steve Jobs had told Obama that he has created over 40,000 jobs in China manufacturing the iphone.
When Obama asked when these jobs will return to the USA, S. Jobs replied, "Never."
This is the norm with big business.
Labor rates are are unbelievably cheap overseas.
The USA cannot compete with them.
So:
Why blame Obama for this when he had nada to do with it?
Why cuddle these 1%ers as if they are "job creators" in the USA when they clearly have no desire to creates jobs here?
Why are so many of you worried about what happens to these 1%ers since they, cheat the government out of 100's of billions of dollars in tax revenues (via Cayman Islands, etc.)?
I'd rather we look out for the middle class. They are the true "job creators". 70% of jobs created are thru the small businesss.
13 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWhat if all of the GOP thought like, Rep. Larry Pittman, who wants to bring back public hangings?
"A Republican lawmaker from North Carolina is seeking a return to the days of public hangings, according to WRAL-TV.
Rep. Larry Pittman delivered an email this week to every member of the state’s General Assembly, describing that hangings needed to be reinstated as a “deterrent to crime,” including those who provide abortions.
“We need to make the death penalty a real deterrent again by actually carrying it out,” Pittman wrote. “Every appeal that can be made should have to be made at one time, not in a serial manner. If murderers (and I would include abortionists, rapists, and kidnappers, as well) are actually executed, it will at least have the deterrent effect upon them. For my money, we should go back to public hangings, which would be more of a deterrent to others, as well.”
Is this guy really that warped?
