NAACP President says Ron Paul is NOT a racist?

NAACP president, Nelson Linder, has come out and said he does not believe Ron Paul to be a racist. Linder has known Paul for 20 years and stated that he believes him to be a fair man who has consistently defended the civil liberties of the black community. Linder believes the claims of racism have been levied because of Paul's libertarian platform, and that most people are just confused about what Paul's political values really are.

Ya and he is right. People often get confused about libertarianism and Ron Paul is not the greatest at explaining his views. If you understand liberatrianism, and you look at Ron Paul's history of total consistency to the constitution and libertarian principles you will know that there is no way he is a racist.

Nelson Linder is not the President of the entire NAACP, he is only the President of the Austin chapter

I will need more than that to change my opinion

Well, isn't that nice of him? He knows Paul 20 years and then makes the mild, bland statement that he 'doesn't believe' Paul to be a racist. Sounds like an Obama man to me.

The NAACP now makes pronouncements on who is and isn't racist? I thought they had better work to do, like defending death row inmates.

Wish people talked more about how Santorom IS a racist.

Isn't his solution to solve the TSA issues is to stop having them 'randomly select' Americans, and simply just select those that 'look like terrorist'?

And didn't he say “I don’t want to make black peoples’ lives better by giving them somebody else’s money, I want to give them the opportunity to go out and earn the money and provide for themselves and for their families.”

And what about his extreme homophobic views? Every ones needs to back off news letters that RP disavowed that happened 20 years ago, and focus on these type of comments being made NOW.

i ask your self what Nelson Linder would imagine if he examine the newsletters that Ron himself licensed. Or that rant Ron gave on the floor of the domicile of Representatives related to what he although of the Martin Luther King birthday vacation? Or that he became the in reality one to vote antagonistic to it? Linder should be some relation to Clarance Thomas. Traitors to their personal households and communities. Ron Paul is a bigot. And Linder is a promote out! take care of it.

Maybe that could be for Paul........ but the majority of the GOP candidates running and the far right (tea party) good old boys in Congress want the black president out. Not about his party affiliation....... but his color.

Pls post credible links to support such a very unlikely allegation.

He probably recognizes that Dr. Paul is trying to get rid of these unjust criminal drug laws, that predominately target African-Americans.

So he can't be compared to the pot calling the kettle black.
