Why do creationists have such a narrow minded view on scientific academia?

I asked a similar question some time ago - suggesting creationists do not actually understand what they are dismissing.

Given the BBC programme Super Smart Animals which shows Bonobos communicating with humans a symbolic language, I think it can only be construed as dumb when anyone says they are not related to us.

To those who say evolution is not fact - do you also say gravity is not a fact or the round earth is not a fact - ??? Evolution has as much evidence as those- why do you not vehemently deny gravity or defend the flat earth? I know why- because you'd appear stupid - just as you do when you deny evolution.

I'll give you a dead honest answer. Creationist, such as myself are "narrow minded" because evolutionist undermine the FOUNDATION of the faith. IF evolution is right the Bible & Christianity is irrelevant & SHOULD be done away with. Before you celebrate that a Christian just drove the nail in the coffin to his own religion, Google: abiogenesis. Abiogenesis is the foundation of faith in evolution. As you stated science is observable. No one has ever observed abiogenesis (even when they try to artificially simulate it). Evolutionists BELIEVE it is true because they need something to start the whole process via natural means. The problem is We OBSERVE life always comes from living things. Abiogenises is what a Christian calls a miracle. By definition a miracle is scientifically impossible. A world without God is a world without miracles. How can someone argue everything happens by natural processes if the foundation of their faith is in an unnatural process?

Even if you think I am a total fool for believing in God, research evolution from start to finish. Arguing if people came from monkeys is like focusing on the which sprinkles to use while overlooking the fact that no one baked the cake. If the foundation of evolution is faith in an unnatrual process that has never been observed, the whole argument falls apart. Most people, including Christians focus on the sprinkles. When you look at the world with biblical eyes Creationism makes much more sense. The bible explains science to a T. It's not just faith at all, it's the fact of Creation. I can recognize design in nature that Evolution would never be able to explain. God has done nothing to trick you at all. God left His fingerprints all over Creation and it's not God's fault that you fail to see that.

Evolution is a fact? No it isn't. Of course neither is creationism. In science, there really aren't any true "facts". Even basic scientific laws that were thought to be true may not be. Just because there is evidence for something doesn't always mean it's true.

As far as I can see, creationists simply don't understand (or choose to ignore) the scientific method, as is evidenced by the many "creation scientists" who make such a handsome living from promoting what they know to be lies and misrepresentation.

Unfortunately for the creatards, "evolution" and the age of the Earth are not just academic ideas. They are among the bases of the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, pesticide, oil and mining industries.

Next time you feel like asking them something, try asking which oil and mining companies believe in the "flood".

If you had the ability to resurrect the old scribes who wrote the bible and Quran and stood them in front of all their deluded believers to tell them that they actually made it all up....the faithful would still bl**dy well come up with an excuse to follow this clap trap.

We don't see it as a disgusting, evil practice our argument is that don't take God out of creation. God created everything, organisms do exist but they did not create humans or animals God did.

God created science and made man intelligent enough to grasp and understand it. But please understand that God is behind all of the science that man has discovered.
