Is anybody here going to Westminster Dog Show next week?

I wish! I would love to go see it some day.

I wish I was. It was a good thing I didn't enter, since I just got home from the hospital after having a knee replacement. Heck, my dogs aren't even home, their farmed out with friends.

I'm even missing the dachshund specialities this weekend...there are 3. I have only my female entered this weekend, since she'll work for anyone if you put a cookie in her face. My male will only work for me. I've got my dear friend handling Jada at today's speciality and a Junior Handler on her for tomorrow.

I will probably watch it on TV, unless I know what the schedule is and when the Wire dachshunds are showing, then I'd catch it on the computer.

I just got off the phone with my friend (whos dog is staying with me) as she heads

to the airport to go to Westminster.

Even better, she is sitting in the judges box as her close friend is JUDGING BEST IN SHOW!!!!!

I am so jealous. I could have gone with her except for one thing- I will not get on a plane-

(my husband has forced me to go to Hawaii and other places a few times but it takes a lot

of medication for me starting a month before the flight)- I am actually not phobic about flying its the crashing that has me terrified. Its so bad that on trips to places that are close like Las Vegas, Phoenix etc (350-400 miles) I will drive and he will fly. I time it so I pick him up at the airport.

Then one of our (I get some credit because I help with the classes at times = ) Has a GSD that will be showing at Westminster. He won his group at Eukanuba in December and is expected to do the same at Westminster.

So although I am not going I will be there in spirit!!!!

ADD: Oh and I have to mention that the Whippet that is expected to win- "Chanel" -Starlines Chanel- is a neice to the Whippet I am babysitting.

Nope But I will be watching from the sofa studying for my history exam. I would love to go and sit in the audience atleast once in my lifetime.

I'm watching it on the boob tube. I'd like to see the NOI and NAI in person. I'd even like to qualify to run them. I attended the national spaniel field trial years ago. Now that was something to see.

Like always, I'll be watching the afghans, borzois, bearded collies, wolfhounds, and of course, Belgians.

I'm hoping to catch it on the website too. I'm hoping to catch Bull terriers, Afghan hound and Staffys :)

I wish. I'm banking on getting an invite next year. This year we were waiting on one stinking point to qualify :(
