You need full body conditioning not just arms/upper body. Guys are really into upper body muscle work and women are really into cardio. LEGS, ABS, BACK, a$$ and so on... those muscles need some lovin' too. Keep up with the cardio. I read that a guys' abs "pop" some time between 8 and 12% body fat. If you want abs, that's where you have to get your weight. The stomach is stubborn and often the last place to look defined for men and older women. I"m a 36 year old woman and my muscles are starting to pop on my thighs but I only have a 33.5 inch waist. When I was late 20's, my tummy was a nice flat 30 to 32 inches but I had so much disgusting fat on my thighs (more than now, they were 2 inches bigger around).

I recommend lifting weights. You must have starved yourself or did an excess amount of cardio and most likely burned off both fat and muscle. In time your body will begin to store carbs and water in preparance for another cutting cycle. What you need to do now is get to a heavy barbell routine and do compound olypmic style exercises to pack on muscle mass. I say Upper body Mon. and Thurs. with heavy compound exercises like bench press, shoulder press, rows, lateral raises, pullups, etc. And cardio on Wed. And lower body on Tues. and Fri. squats, lunges, deadlifts, etc. Eat alot, work hard, and good luck.
