What type of references should I put on my Canadian Forces application?

I am currently filling out the application for the direct entry plan officer position in the Canadian Forces. It tells me I need 5 references that I have known for at least 5 years. The problem is firstly, I'm in college now, so I can't use the teachers in high school nor can I use the teachers in college. Secondly, I certainly have not had 5 years of work experience, so I can't use any references from work. So I'm only left with personal references. Should I just put down all my references as personal friends? Those people are the only ones that I've known for at least 5 years. Any help is appreciated, Thanks!

high school teachers would be fine even if you haven't seen them in awhile. If there was any particular teacher who was a favourite or one that was especially influential, go ahead and use them. Coachs from sports teams would be another good choice. Ministers, your family doctor, dentist etc.
