When do you think American Idol will do a tribute to Whitney Houston?
Given the recent passing of Whitney Houston, I've been thinking it would be appropriate to hold a special night where contestants sing songs that have been hits by her. I think that would be appropriate. However, since they are still doing Hollywood auditions, top 12 girls and top 12 guys and all that, I think they will hold this off until the first week of the Top 12/13. Any thoughts?

They might have a Whitney Houston week for the theme when they get to the Live shows
But who knows

It seems like whenever singers try to sing a Whitney or Mariah song it isn't good enough for the judges. Their voices are just too unique so they are always advised to stay away from them. I don't see a tribute coming. At least not with the contestants performing.

Back in the day, they were ALWAYS talking about Whitney Houston. Randy Jackson used to work with her, and keeps dropping her name. Anytime some poor kid tries to sing Whitney, she gets roasted.

Well since American Idol is always on Wed. and Thurs, they couldn't have a chance to do a tribute.
I still think they would, because it's a singing show.
