For those who want to be MotoGP riders.?
A 13 year old school boy living on the Sunshine Coast in Australia is too young to race in Australia but he has been to circuits practicing on his 125cc road racing Yamaha. His practice times have been faster than lap records.
So in frustration he packed his bike and bags and flew to New Zealand, where he is old enough to race, for a weekend to contest the 125cc New Zealand Road Racing Championships. He won the event, set a race and lap record. Makes you wonder if he will get an age exemption to race in Australia or that the powers to be don't want the next Mick Doohan !!!
That is what all you 'want to be's' have to do if you have ambitions to race in GP events. That is commitment.
Ballsmag; you are reported for obvious reasons.

Or how about another Aussie called Mr C Stoner ?
Moved here to the UK at 14 to start road racing.
Last I heard he was pretty fast in MotoGP !!

Definitely, people don't realize that it takes more than just a dream to become a MotoGP racer. It's ridiculous when I hear people saying they're going to be MotoGP races in a couple years when most of them have never touched even a 125.
It's one of the most challenging parts of each one of those racers careers.

Come on Bedouin, you know we want a name.
Got to keep an eye on new talent, its often a good way to earn money.
another user on here has a son just done a stint in NZ to keep in shape for his career.
Did well too.
could be the same old story though - Fast people in Aus need to travel to Europe eventually.
