Which spelling do you prefer?

Hi everyone, my hubby and I are expecting our second child in about 3.5 months. We don't know the sex, but if it's a girl, we want to call her Mikayla/Mikaela Jade. The only thing we can't agree on is the spelling! I don't want her name to be mispronounced all the time when she goes to school.

Which do you prefer: Mikayla or Mikaela?

Update:

It's actually not misspelled. There are lots of spellings of the name in question. Michaela is the original spelling, but if you look the name up, it is spelled in many different ways these days, with Mikaela and Mikayla both on the list of ways to spell the name. All I wanted was for people to tell me which of the two above ways they prefer. No need to get nasty and tell me it's misspelled.

    MIKAYLA

It's the most common spelling of the name where I live. I've never seen Mikaela before, so it just looks weird to me.

Neither since both are misspelled. Michaela is the only spelling that looks proper.

Michaela is the only nice spelling. Just because others have mispelt the name does not make it legitimate or correct.
