Torque is just the measure of how much twisting force the engine has. It's completely unrelated to actual traction.

There is a misconception that a couple previous people said. Torque does not reduce traction. Actually, it has no effect on traction. Traction is simply the amount of grip the tires have. Having more torque doesn't change how much grip the tires have, it just makes it easier to overcome that amount of grip.

No, traction is provided by the grip of the tyres on the road. Increased torque provides more turning power to the wheels which will reduce traction as the tyres will lose grip.

Power in BHP or KW is the maximum amount of work a motor can do. Torque is grunt.

No, torque is the amount of turning force generated by the engine at any given rpm. Traction is a result of the amount of tire tread in contact with the surface of the road you're driving on as well as the condition of that surface.

No. Just the opposite. More torque makes your tires more likely to spin.
