Talking about the tv series not book. Okay so I'm confused. Cassie and the rest' parents died from demons or witch hunters? Which one was it? Because the demon in the earlier episodes who was in heather barnes was one of the demons summoned when the fire happened but the witch hunters killed the parents and the fire started from Cassies dad. So which one is it? The demons started the fire or the witch hunters etc?

im confused with your question, are you asking who killed their parents?
Well, they was killed (except Cassie's parents) by the witch hunter and Cassies dad started the fire, this was shown during Cassie's time travel. But the reason why Heather possessed by the Demon was not shown.
