blood types and babies?
Can an RH negative blood type person have an O positive baby without injections, I am after info on this as I am looking into past family trees in the 1950's time.
Need information about wether this was possible in the past without injections, thanks anyway.

It's possible but there's a chance that the mother will develop antibodies to the baby's blood and destroy it. It's about a 5% chance and increases after every baby.

The first baby wasn't a problem, it was the second baby, and later pregnancies that Rh disease could become problematic - of course women and babies lived! In only about 5-10% of times was an immune response dangerous - but when it was dangerous, it was very dangerous! Injections prevent that response, but certainly women have been having babies before the 1950's :)
