Do you think theres any difference between generic medication and name brand?

other than the price?

Update:

so why is name brand sometimes more than twice the price? you would think they would want to compete.

By definition, chemically there is no difference. But there is a "but". Generics are not always manufactured with the same quality control and current regulations permit a variation of approximately 20% either way in the bio-availability of the active ingredient.

For the most part though there is very little advantage to buying branded medications if cheap generic drugs are available, provided medications are taken under the supervision of a qualified medical professional.

Its like any products, profit first everything else second. No difference except a company holds first rights.

    Nope, they're the same.

The extra you pay goes to advertising, promotion and profit.
