Haha oh man. I remember back in the day, Toyota dealerships basically had to beg people to buy one of those cars, and now people flip **** when they see one, and they think they're worth a million dollars.

Is it a good car? Yes

Is it worth 34 grand? Meh, that depends on how much you want it. It's your money.

I don't care how special people think the car is. You can't take away the fact that it's a 15 year old car, so please use the power of negotiation. Oh and that whole "twin turbo" bit actually means that it has two turbos, but only one runs at a time. The second one is just a backup.

Edit; C, are you retarded? They've made many RWD 4 Cylinders, wtf are you talking about? Nissan 240SX, Subaru GL, the older Celicas, none of these ring a bell to you?

    Toyota Supra Twin Turbo

If the car is in excellent condition, then yes, it is fully worth that amount of money. The TT Supra is RARE. And to the guy suggesting the golf, REALLY? He wants a SUPRA. Not a golf. They are in no way similar to the other. The TT Supra has a 0-60 of 4.9 seconds on crappy stock tires. You won't notice that difference unless you are a professional driver. But yeah, if you want to make massive power, don't buy the rare TT and destock a classic. Get an N/A for a lot less with a 6sp and upgrade that.

And to the guy rambling about hoses and crap... the car has 38,XXX miles. It was probably kept in a garage. And a 90's car isn't that old at all. Rust? What is this a Cuda'? And parts? Come on! It's a SUPRA. There will ALWAYS be parts for it! Get real. Also, someone name a car in the states that comes stock with a 320hp 4cyl. What's that? Oh there isn't one. Plenty of 4cyl engines can push that with a turbo, but almost none of them can push 1000 or even 600hp like a supra can. But as far as power to weight goes, it is kindof the same power margins anyways. Not a big deal. Plus no 4cyl is going to be RWD anyways.

There are some really funny answers.

The facts are the Supra MK4 TT is a great car and people are going to say rubbish about it being old technology and all that rubbish, yet when i buy a sports car i dont want a mass of technology and it can offer this and that rubbish. The car does what it says on the tin its a TT sports car.

This car offers tuning abilites which will run out when your money does,it was made when the Japanese where restricted by agreements to how much power they could sell there cars at,but knowing this makers would sell there cars detuned and this is one of those cars, hence it being used by tuners the World over.

Is it worth getting well in the long run you are getting a car which offers power to you that cars many times this fetch and many less than this car.

Yes newer cars offer more power but as said this is detuned so the power is into silly bhp figures, but you can tune any car no you can't and to what limits.and how does it effect all that technology on modern cars.

Parts i have plenty of friends whom own Supar's and they never struggle for parts.

Don't shy away from semi-auto versions as one Toyota felt the auto box better suited the car and offered it in a higher spec two many people i know now are buying auto's to do a manual conversion as the engine has had less wear.overall the semi-auto box is quite good.

The person who was voted the best answer is a retarded ape, and you the OP are quite un-intelligent and dimwitted if you are even asking if paying $33k for a VERY low milage supra is too much because you would be hard find to ever find a supra twin turbo that is clean, not so molested, and with super low miles for that much.

also to John the reason that they are worth so much now is because of the rarity and the fact that now people know of the fact that it was the last of toyotas TRUE sports cars, people back then wre dimwitted like you to not know the value of this machine. It was a marvel of engineering and its engine is still used to day as is the cars suspension itself because it is un-matched. What it is/was was a street legal gt race car for the streets which many were unaware of. It was developed in partnership with Hiromo Naruse, the man who developed every high performance sports car toyota ever made include the toyota gt1 and the Toyota 2000gt.

The ferrari 250 gto is almost 30 years old, does that mean it is JUST a 30 year old car? no like the supra it is something very special. (i can hear you saying, oh but its a toyota... if you do then you truly are retarded)

so as for is it worth $34 grand.. with how many miles and the condition you are saying, it is worth actually $60k+ So if you did not go with this, good luck on getting one with similar miles for this price.

as for C7S there are many faster cars out there and yet heres the funny thing, many of them unlike the supra and sports cars like it lack the simplicity that this car did which was no frills, just a pure street legal race car and yes you can get those cars, but like many older high performance cars like it, it is not the same, that and its the last of toyotas true line of sports cars and a HUGE collector car.

also as for hoses etc?! wow you are stupid, cars like these whith these low miles are imactuatly kept.

Source(s): supra twin turbo owner for 13 years, and knew about the car since the first MKIVTT came out. Also a avid fan of toyota.

No. You can get a faster newer car for a cheaper price.

The Supra is fast, but there is newer technology and newer cars that are better than the old Supra.

Even though it has low miles, it is still more than a decade old, meaning some rubber hoses are wearing out and ripping apart, some rust has formed under the body, and parts are getting harder to come by as the car gets older.

the people saying No dont have the slightest clues about what they are talking about. Toyota Supras (twin turbo, 6speed) cars are extremely rare, very VERY fast and are sought after because of their tuning abilities. If you can afford it, and appreciate it, then by all means its worth it. I've seen them (upwards towards the final 98 model) go up and hit the 40's when in REALLY good condition. If I were you, I'd get a stock one (dont fall for the 1200hp ones). Stick with the manual transmission, low mileage, stock components. I wouldnt get anything under 48k miles.

if you want more for your money, look at the all new VW golf R.it has 256hp,246 llbs of torgue, and all wheel drive.and nav.sunroof,a fender sound system.this car will stayed glued to the ground as you hit the pedal and feel that turbo blast you into the future.i believe it does 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds.look at the site Edonds.com for a true and complete review.they are limiting the number of units for sale in the states,oh yeh and they still get 20 miles per gallon.
