Have any Cops here ever written another on duty cop a ticket for something?
Just curious if there are any officers here that may have written another cop a ticket or heard of somebody doing so? Like writing a speeding ticket to a cop going to fast without his/her lights on.

It happens quite often here in Toronto. Just last week an officer was charged for coming into work drunk. As for traffic infractions, I've heard of at least five officers in the last year who have been pulled over for doing up to 50km over the speed limit. So while some officers may give their colleagues a break, other officers are being held to a higher standard.

The Police are allowed to break traffic Law, with or without their emergency lights on, as may be made necessary by their duties. They can even ride around with their headlights off or go the wrong way on a one way street.
If an officer was observed driving too fast or something else dangerous when not warranted by a supervisor, he would get a departmental writeup, which could be much more damaging than a traffic ticket.

Yes, happens. Seen it in accident cases all the time. Not usually for speeding since rarely are stops made since cops are allowed to speed and break certain traffic laws when going to a job. And no in almost all states cops are specifically allowed to drive like an emergency vehicle even without light or sirens going.

In my hometown, there was a cop who recently caused a wreck by excessive speeding. He claimed to be speeding to assist with a call, but he was speeding as fast as he could and did watch for civilians and could not stop once hit hit traffic.
They can moderately speed to get to a call, but this call was not a life and death situation and he was well into triple digits. So, he was placed at fault, at the site of the wreck and ticketed their with fines.
This is happened in later afternoon, so between 2and 4Pm so it wasn't night. There speculation of when/if he had his sirens on that led to the discovery of he may not have had his sirens when until he saw another car, which was then too late because they did not know he was coming so fast.
