My best friend is female like myself and close as sisters. We are both seen as odd by others so we clicked. My very first and dearest friend however was a boy. He was 5 and I was 6 when we met and were as close as any bother and sister could be. 12 years after meeting, he was 18, I was 19, he was murdered by his own brother.

I have both... I'm a 14 yr old 8th grade guy but I have about same... I'd have to say I can talk more freely with my good girl friends but I can hang out a bit better with guy friends.

As a girl i'd say for me guys make more interesting friends just as long as we hang out in public so things wouldnt get awkward ^_~

Well, my ex was my best friend but I don't know about that anymore. Seems there were stipulations attached to that. My other best friend was a girl...but I don't know if it's worth the drama attached to her.
