Why does God punish us for not Being "Good" like him?
I hear that
A: God is good and always good. Everything about God is good. God=Goodness. Goodness comes from God. If God wouldn't do an action, the action must be bad
B: God made humans in his image but it gave us the choice to be good or bad (Godlike or evil)
C: If humans are not good they are punished and suffer for not acting like God
So 1) Why didn't God just make another God (a being that always acts like he does) if that what he wants? Why make something that has the potential to do bad?
2) Why does God want everyone to be like him in the first place?
If your answer is that he wanted us to have freewill, explain why he doesn't give freewill to himself? Is freewill some sort of defect? If he has freewill like we do and is always good despite it, what's his secret, what then keeps him from sinning? What's he got what we don't have? And why does it save it all for himself?
Sometimes it feels like he put us in a room with the stove on and told us not to touch it because it was "hot." But having no idea what "hot" is or means, we touch it anyway and get burned. He knows the concept of "hot" the entire time and doesn't touch the stove. Then he criticizes us for not listening to him.

We are the infinite variations of circumstances and choices, experiencing and sending that data back to God. He cannot be human, with human frailties, so we take that role and show him and one another what certain choices and circumstances lead to. If we're wise enough to watch what the consequences of poor decision making brings to someone else, we can avoid the negative outcome that some call punishment. If we happen to make a bad choice and live through the consequences, hopefully we won't repeat that bad choice. If we ignore the lessons the negative outcome brought us, we will repeat the poor choice and repeat the pain. Freewill allows us to make individual choices and experience to outcome of that choice.
Ultimately, I think we're supposed to learn to make selfless decisions based in love and the intent to uplift others. But, it take a long time and many choices to get to that point of understanding.

If He punishes us because we are not good like He is then how come the Bible says that there will be people enter the Kingdom of Heaven simply for believing His son died for them? Sounds like to me that He understands that we will never be as good as He is. You have to keep reading the Bible is not a one hit wonder. I know that many Christians treat it that way but it's not. Once you have studied for years and I mean actually study like there is going to be a quiz at the end, you will come to understand what God is asking for. It's quite simple really: 1 belief in Him and His son 2 love all people and treat them with kindness 3 Forgive people like you would want to be forgiven when you screw up and 4 learn from your mistakes. That is all He wants from us. It's not that hard once you master self control.
