What Movie Did I Watch This Week:
* Submarine 8/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1440292/ - Great love story...If you want to call it that. Reminds me of Rushmore. Kinda Wes Anderson like.
* The Guard 8/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1540133/ - The humor reminded me of In Bruges and then I saw it was Martins brother who wrote this...It made sense. F u cking loved it.
* Centurion 7/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1020558/ - Knocking out all the Fassbender Films. It was OK.
* The Tree of Life 8/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0478304/ - I LOVED t his Film. I might be the only one. I don't give a f u ck. Its beautiful. Mallick doesn't use a zoom with his Cinematographor. The same guy that did Children of Men. It's Close Ups. I dig that. Jessica Chastain has no flaws.
* Marwencol 7/10 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1391092/ - It took a strange turn around the 98 min. mark. But it was definitely interesting.
BQ: The Messenger is so good. But so is Blue Valentine.
BQ2:
John Travolta - Pulp Fiction
John Hughes - Christmas Vacation ( He wrote it)
Molly Ringwald - The Breakfast Club
Milos Forman - One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

I saw:
Snatch.... entertaining, but too similar to Lock, Stock and two smoking barrels
Strangers on a Train.... It was okay, the homosexual subtext was interesting
High Noon.... Decent western
Metropolis.... What a massive production, spectacular effects, holds up 85 years later
Platoon.... Great war film, very suspenseful
Into the Wild.... It was good but could've been better
The Deer Hunter.... Wedding dragged very long, but the film was superbly emotional, very great
The Third Man.... Stylish noir but story could've been better
Scarface.... I don't like gangster films so I found it typical
BQ: You'll have to specify which The Thing, I believe you are talking about the 2011 one. If that is the case then I am embarrased to say that I have not seen any of these films other than Akira. Which was great.
BQ2: John Travolta - Pulp Fiction
John Hughes - The Breakfast Club
Molly Ringwald - The Breakfast Club
Milos Forman - Amadeus
