uTorrent is being TOO slow?
i am downloading something which is 1.3GB, it says 36(393) seeds and 1(553) peers.
it's current speed it about 7kb and it ranges between (2kb mainly and the highest was 11kb)
Why is it being so slow? is there anything i could do to help? or is it just being slow. My broadband thingy is very fast and i mean fast, but i'm not sure if that makes a difference.
i am downloading final cut pro x and i have been for about an hour and it's still at 0% with a TINY bit loading done
This is my first time using it but i know that my brother uses it a lot, and has done once on this computer
Thank Youu :)
No as i have said this is my first time using it, no need to get rude. Well, it's fast for the internet, everything loads fast, never have to wait for anyhting. When my brother was downloading something he said it was very slow, so i guess it is. (i'm on a mac if that makes any difference.

No on this computer we have only downloaded one movie.
Yes, you are being quite rude and arrogant.
Well, i'm sorry if i'm doing it wrong, it is my first time. I bet the first time you did it you got it wrong. Plus i have no help, hense why i asked. It's finished now and fully working so i guess i did do it right. What i noticed over the night was that it went up to about 1890KB which is a lot, isn't it?
Well, maybe my internet is crap, but i don't usually use it for these kinds of things so IT'S GOOD TO ME!

fyi people the UKs and other foreign countries broadband speeds are typically as fast as our fast broadband in the US if at its lowest. to answer your question theres many many factors one you need to open your ports. i recommend something between port 50000 and 60000 look up port forwarding for this there guides that will walk you through step by step. thats one of the biggest things. second make sure the upload cap isnt set real low id do atleast 80. then after that it could really be anything even knowing everything sometimes they are just slow for no reason.

Do you do a lot of torrent downloading on the network? If so your provider will cap speeds at certain times

Set upload limit to minimum - mine used to lag the whole connection & a facebook message wouldn't arrive to the receiver for like a minute.
Good luck

Perhaps your ISP has gotten wise to your illegal downloading activities.
Whatever you are downloading, the only reason it is on a torrent site is because it is something that should be paid for. You are effectively stealing it, whether it is a movie, a game, or shareware
