We are becoming ourselves. Cruelty comes from a lack of understanding and knowing who and what we really are. And, suffering is for the experience written on Eternity to understand better.
You have things backwards there, I think. The Big Mistake is that we think we ARE different beings. In Truth, we are not, All Is One. But, We All Is pretty creative, LOL!
IMHO, LOL.

We are not being permitted to evolve anymore. Nietzche had some thoughts on this, and the Ubermensch. Read some of his works and you'll probably find your answer.

it can develop and will eventually.the instructions have been given many times,it is in our best interest to follow them.
