I never heard of anyone getting off of dialysis without getting a kidney transplant.

If it was possible - it would only be possible if the kidneys in question were not totally dysfunctional but since you don't describe the situation with any detail there is nothing to go on.

fixerken refers to Dr. Schulze's formulas. He has kidney flush and other herbal formulas which may or may not do some good if they did help to some degree to get any sort of permanent results would also require getting off the standard American diet and eating wholesome whole foods. A balanced diet of vegetables with some fruit and healthy meats and fats. Satan's system has concealed the truth from us even when it comes to healthy eating. This is due mainly to the greed of the food companies and the junk they market to us that really is not food in the true sense. God gave to early man fruit and vegetation to eat and then later he gave us permission to eat meat but he never gave us permission to eat processed foods stripped of all the nutrients and laced with chemicals. And even the low-fat high carb diet that has been encouraged for decades is hogwash. There is nothing unhealthy about saturated fat when consumed in a diet that contains no refined flour or sugar.

There are lots of books on nutrition that have the answers - answers that most doctors however do not recognize. If you want some suggestions contact me.

Diet is the number one cause of disease whether it be heart disease, cancer, diabetes or whatever. Food addiction is very real and anyone who eats a lot of bread, candy, desserts and the like is likely addicted to such foods.

This site emphasizes eating low-fat. I don't agree with that. I do agree that all of us should avoid all trans fats and most vegetable oils including safflower, canola, corn and others. Olive oil and coconut oil and macadamia nut oil are all good and there is nothing wrong with egg yolks or the saturated fat in meat but avoid any and all processed meats like cold cuts that contain nitrites or nitrates, butter is good. I ate a mostly vegan diet for over 2 years and I am now eating low-carb high-fat and my blood lipids are better than ever. Same is true for my wife. Fat is your friend. When you cut out the sugar and the high carb foods that raise your blood sugar you need the fat for energy. You want your body to burn fat so you can lose weight if you need to. Animal fat is more like the fat in your own body than any other fat so why would it be bad for you? Saturated fat got a bad name decades ago only because early studies threw all fat in the same category. They did not separate saturated fats from trans fats and vegetable oils.

the only thing that can get some1 off dialysis is kidney transplant :/ or some very very rare cases, some patients have a "residual" function and the dialysis helped their kidneys to recover a bit so they can be off it but even so they ended up back on it after a few years. There is no other way to get permanently of it except a transplant. ( in my years in the hospital i haven't seen somebody get of it otherwise and the few cases that i talked about i only read or was told by other doctors) :( yes it's is a painfully process and i wish him the best of luck and health.

    One gets a kidney transplant.

Being on dialysis is rotten. I hope you or your loved one gets that transplant soon.
