One of my nephs has started to play the saxophone....?
....I want to get him some CDs for his birthday.
Can anyone suggest names of female saxophonists? CDs of male sax players are a dime a dozen, so i would like to introduce him to some female ones.

And how far from Atlanta is the site?
2 AnswersAtlanta9 years agoDoes anyone know that Yiddish saying....?
... about how the tin roofed (once a sign of wealth) of the rich fat cats should burn down?
My Yiddishe Bund uncle used to say it all the time. I know how it goes more or less, but not exactly.
If you know it, can you please write it out for me, translated into Latin letters?
Thanks.
1 AnswerLanguages9 years agoHow do American political "Christians" who "love" Israel handle the facts....?
that we have fine gay rights here (including common law marriage and adoption), universal health care (in fact a lot of what is in President Obama's plan seems to be modeled after ours) legal abortion, and other things that they oppose for the USA.
7 AnswersElections9 years agoWhy are women of the Abrahamic faiths....?
.... so willing to accept religions that put them down as women?
There may be other religions where this happens, but I don't know which.
But some Christian, Jewish and Muslim women are willing to live in and support faiths that are packed with specifically anti-women rules.

... of the 1990s when the ultraorthodox Jewish girl demanded to be release from the every freshman's commitment to live in the dorms turn out?
She knew she had to live in the dorms first year when when she applied, but once accepted she started whining that it was against the modesty laws of her religion, and tried to get an exemption.
3 AnswersHigher Education (University +)9 years agoI need a kick-@ss recipe for Potato Salad!?
No mayo, please, it's for a picnic, and I want to play it safe.
It doesn't have to be vegetarian or vegan. If anyone does it with some crispy bacon and/or anchovies, that's fine, too.
2 AnswersCooking & Recipes9 years agoDoes anybody have recipes for some Irish snack foods?
I'm going to a whisky tasting on Saturday, and have been asked to bring munchies.
I'd like some real, authentic recipes. Not stuff that is un-Irish and gunked up with green food colouring.
Thanks!
8 AnswersEthnic Cuisine9 years agoWhy is gluten the current "baddie of the month"?
I know that there are people who have real inborn problems with metabolising it, and for them it is verboten, and thus the wide range of gluten free products available these days.
But why the recent push against gluten for the general public?
4 AnswersOther - Diseases9 years agoI was cleaning out my freezer and found a tray of ice from the summer...?
... and i could swear that the ice cubes "shrank" over the months.
Is this possible and why?
Or do I just not remember how small they were when they were freshly frozen?
2 AnswersEarth Sciences & Geology9 years agoQuestion abour red dye (clothing, not food)?
Why does red dye bleed out of clothing for so long? Other dark colors also bleed, so to speak, but after a couple of washes it stops.. I have this red sweater that still bleeds every time I wash it (by had, cold water) and I have it for years!

13 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhy is the cut off age for bone marrow donors so much lower that the cut off age for blood donors?
I've bee searching on reliable medical sites (National Library of Medicine, Mayo Clinic) and there is no information about that in their articles on bone marrow donation.
Is there a doctor in the house here that can explain that?

6 AnswersElections9 years agoWhy don't many Christians consider Mitt Romney a Christian?
Seriously.
I'm not a Christian, and to me anyone who believes in the divinity of Jesus is a Christian to me.
What am I missing here?
7 AnswersPolitics9 years agoWhy is the Guy Fawkes face used for the Occupy protests?
I'll admit I didn't seen the movie V is for Vendetta where it plays a part, but I do know my history, and Fawkes was a religious fanatic!
