Oh, Roberto Benigni jumping on top of the chair backs after winning for Life is Beautiful. And the end of the speech that Russell Crowe gave when accepting his award for Gladiator - a beautiful and humble speech.

And, of course, the classic moments, David Niven's streaker, Adrien Brody stealing a big kiss from Halle Berry, Jack Palance one-arming it on stage.

But the one moment that bothered me most was Halle Berry completely disregarding that Whoopi Goldberg had won an Oscar and babbled on and on about her being the first black woman to receive the Oscar in 71 years. She was wrong and it was an insult. Whoopi won Best Supporting Actress for Ghost in 1991.

Honestly...who would care? The last several have bombed so badly they're best forgotten. Hollywood in general is not what it was. It has degraded to the point that mediocre actors get all the roles; over and over again, it's like a little inside club. The majority are sons/daughters of previous actors and have been GIVEN their shot thru their names recondition and not their talent. Sheen, the Fonda's, Bridges, Clooney, to name only a few that it was given too. It is what Hollywood has become...Sadly.

You ask for the most memorial moments of the last few Oscar shows..frankly their where none; other than the failure of it to be what it should be.Poor talent being moderated by poor moderators and the Oscars awarded to the clique members by "popularity" vote not thru talent.

Any one watching the show now are cool-aid drinkers who are so shallow they wouldn't know a real actor if it ran them over.

The Oscars used to have real talent with class. Actors who studied the craft and where brought along by the big movie company's. Their was a mystic about them and you didn't hear of them going around without panties on, being drunk at a party and making a disrespectful scene, or overdoing drugs. They had respect for themselves and for their fans. The Oscars have been cliche and worthless for a long time as entertainment. Sad but true.

Yes, I have to agree Robert Opel streaking on the 46th academy Awards was a memorable moment. Some say that it was staged and that David Niven knew about it. Weather that is true or not I don't know but It still was a huge moment.

But then we do have the the time when Charley Chaplin gets his Honorary Oscar. Not that I think is the greatest moment. At least in my point of view

I have been watching the Academy Awards annually since I was very little and I have to say that I have so many favorite moments, it was difficult to choose between Jack Palance's doing push ups on stage, the 1974 streaker, "Annie Hall" won Best Picture over "Star Wars," Tom Hanks winning best Actor for "Philadelphia," Katherine Hepburn's only appearance at the Oscars, and Roberto Benigni's ecstatic reaction in 1998.

When Marlon Brando was a no-show for the Academy Awards and had Sacheen Littlefeather accept the award in his behalf, stating something about the portrayal of Native Americans in Movies.

When Marlee Matlin won the Oscar for Best Actress category for the movie Children of a Lesser God . I cried with her.

But for me the most memorable moment in previous Academy Awards ceremonies has to be Sacheen Littlefeather refusing to accept the Best Actor Oscar on behalf of Marlon Brando for his performance in "The Godfather" in 1973. Liv Ullmann and Roger Moore presented the award. We may agree or disagree with Brando's standings on the particular issue, but what Littlefeather demonstrated during her brief appearance was an example of courage and dignity.

Looking forward to see the celebration in this year's Academy Award.
