how to quit smoking for good?
i quit smoking 2 years ago haven't had a cigarette since but how come if someone walks by having a smoke or people are smoking in a crowd you suddenly want to have a smoke even knowing they are gross and stink i still want to have a smoke its not hard to fight of the erg but whats in a cigarette that's driving me crazy?

I've been quit for some years and still sometime want to light up. Some quitters will always be like that. It's similar to alcoholics, at AA they're told they can NEVER have even one drink again or they'll become alcoholics again.
Just always fight off the urge and don't give in. As time goes on it becomes easier. I would never start again because I remember how hard it was to quit. Who wants to go through that again!

It's the nicotine and all the other deliciously addictive things. I mean, the other horribly addictive things...*cough*
Ever heard of the phrase, "Once a smoker, always a smoker"? Even though you quit smoking 2 years ago (and bravo btw, it's not easy!) the urges will still be there, be they physical or psychological.
And I'm pretty sure this is a useless answer, sorry!

Perhaps just think about why you do not want to smoke. If you want buy nicotine patches, inhalers, etc, to soothe the need but I think these can get you addicted again.
