Can anybody tell me what would happen to my Lhasa Apso that was bitten by a 5-month old German Shepherd?

I have a Lhasa Apso, and it was bitten by a German Shepherd puppy who is 5-months old.. His teeth are sharp, and my dog is bleeding.. Do 5-month old GSDs bite fatally?? Will anything serious happen to my dog?? What would I have to do??

Update:

Oh and my dog got its rabies shots.. I was just asking how deep can a 5-month old GSD's bite be? Can it be fatal?

The first thing that you should of done was to take your dog to a vet. We can't tell you on this site how badly the dog was bitten or if the puppy had all of his shots, including rabies. A dogs mouth is one of the filthiest things that there is.

If the wound is bleeding, I would take the puppy in immediately. Even if the bleeding has stopped, you need to take your dog in. He could need stitches. A bite is a puncture wound and you really have no idea how deeply your dog was bitten.

Your dog could be in real danger since blood was drawn. He could come down with any amount of infections or even Parvo.

Please take him in. I would clean the wound with peroxide. That should help slow down any infection. The main thing is for him to see a vet.

I hope your little dog is alright.

    I hope this helped.

Clean up the dogs cuts first, If its not deep there may be not need to bring it to a vet. My 4 year old GSD bit my 9week old Husky's head the other week, It was bleeding but not a deep cut, We cleaned it up and she was fine, just abit afraid, But if it looks deep or wont stop bleeding I'd bring it to the vet. If the dog is crying then I'd be worried but if it only yelped when it happened i'd say its fine :)

Your dog could get an infection so you should go see a vet to make sure no infection sets in.

Hope your dog feels better soon.

Bring it to a pet hospital since you don't want the wound to get infected.
