The Zionist Jews all went to Israel after WWII. The Law of Return also helps increase the Jewish population by allowing any Jew go to Israel.

They always lived there, when they won the war when England left the protectorate the Arabs sold their land or just left thinking they would return and take it back when their Arab brothers would race to their aid and kill the Jews.
Didn't happen that way. They didn't get support, they didn't win, and they couldn't go back, for some reason, like good sense, Israel didn't want to be overwhelmed by people who wanted them dead.
During the time of the British Protectorate the Brits also thought the Arabs would win, and they did everything possible to keep it in Arab hands, including refusing the Eastern European Jew admission to Israel while they were in charge. The Jewish people won because they fought like they had no where else to go, which was the absolute truth. Desperation made them strong.
