How do YOU get motivated to work out?

    I love the pain and pump I get from working out. I set my mind to looking forward to going to the gym everyday so I can improve my body.

    When I want to run I need good pump up music, if I don't have anything I just bike, it's a mental thing I guess. But to work out in general I pick a reasonable picture of my "ideal" body (within reason) and aim for it :D It gives me something to strive for. Aside from that, I love the feeling of being post workout, I guess it's like my "high," I just feel sooo much better!

    The way I look at it is this. Once I get to the gym, I'll work out because I already took the time to gather my stuff and head to the gym. So I just make my goal GET UP AND GET TO THE GYM. Small chunking your goals is how you can best force yourself to take action.

    set yourself a goal. Say that you want to gain this much weight and gain this much muscle. For me, i want to gain muscle until i reach 300 pounds so i can make the JV football team next year (I'm 6'4", 260 pounds, freshman for high school, and have never played football). But i love to workout because i'm getting so much bigger and muscular that any lineman that faces me will have his face smashed.

    So basically set a goal for yourself.

    I don't know, personally I just really enjoy the feeling of being high off endorphins or whatever haha and it improves my mood. I liking working out just for the sake of it.
