I would recommend you to go for the kindle fire.
- Cheaper
- Same or maybe better features
- Amazon infrastructure is better built
- Kindle fire is lighter, slimmer and smaller.
- Over 15K apps
The problem that kindle fire has is that it is a little low on memory with no microSD to increase the space... The amazon cloud can be considered a remedy but can only be used under wifi connection. Plus the kindle fire has no microphone and ePub support,,
The ePub converters are available though...
