Poll : Which is better Oblivion or Skyrim ?

Oblivion was my first Elder Scrolls game. So I guess I am biased toward it based on that. I will always remember Oblivion as the game that got me into Elder Scrolls and the "magic" of the series.

After playing all of the Elder Scrolls games however, I feel that probably (based on gameplay...not graphics) Morrowind is the best of the series.

But getting back to which is better (Oblivion or Skyrim), that's a hard question since the games are very similar in most ways. It can be said with some accuracy that Skyrim is Oblivion with dragons.

The Oblivion worldspace is more colourful and brighter. But Skyrim doesn't have the degree of repetitiveness that Oblivion does. Skyrim's caves, dungeons, etc are somewhat repetitive, but not so much as Oblivion's. And Oblivion gates were the worst...after 4 or 5, it was all basically repetition.

Oblivion was more fun for me but I have enjoyed Skyrim

Skyrim.

I prefer Skyrim due to the animations.
