I'm going to start taking the birth control pill, scared?
I'm 16, and tomorrow around dinner time I will start taking them. I am taking the pill "Sprintec".
Anyways, I have school the following day. What if I get side affects? I'm on period. But anyways, what if I get sick or something ?:( Should I convince my mom to let me stay home? I missed so much school already, but I don't know how they will affect me. It would be so embarrassing if something bad happened in school.

Nothing is going to happen within 24 hours if at all... I was on numerous pills and had no side effects at all, you need to calm down.

Nothing is going to happen. Your body won't even notice for a while anyways. It takes at least three months for your body to become used to the pill after you've started taking it. The chances of you getting sick are slim to none. You really have nothing to worry about :)

I always got nauseous while taking birth control pills so I would suggest taking them before bed instead of in the morning.
