Christian)s(: does the .com make a site legitimate?

Why can any nutty-nut write stuff and place it on-line and some people buy it as gospel?

What makes a site legitimate?

Update:

@Pat - I have ONE admonition for you bud... straight out of God's word. "Keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace." Yes, I believe Christ's mercy and grace is all-sufficient... I believe that to even think that YOU or I had ONE thing to do with saving ourselves is anathema, what's more, WE CANNOT add to Christ's perfect and complete work. BUT b/c I won't try to persuade or shove my belief in your face, I will say this to you here and now... "If you want to talk about Christ's death, burial, and resurrection." Fine... otherwise, we have no basis for ANY sort of direct communication. I believe these THREE are the foundation of the Christian faith. Let's unite under that banner brother... let's. ;0)) Love through Christ and because of Him ~God's Canvas

    There's plenty of truth and plenty of trivia linked to domain names.

    Do you know why there is not a .god domain address? It is a quite interesting study.

    By using the "dot com" at the end of different words we can see truth about this digital culture.

    Have you ever been to reality.com? This is a favorite attack of internet Atheists. "You need to get with reality, man! There's no sky fairies or unicorns!" Why is this such a favorite attack used on the internet against our faith? Well, go look at reality.com! People here are in many cases simply playing roles. It is like a big game of Dungeons and Dragons to them. They throw stones that hurt themselves!

    Another fun one is vanity.com. The slogan of vanity.com? "Vanity, It's a good thing."

    God is bigger than the internet. This is why most dot com domains of importance are being run by the body of Christ. God.com, Bible.com, Christianity.com, etc.

    If it's true or not

    John 8, verse 31 , 32

    31: Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;

    32: And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

    Yes, absolutely. If it's on the internet, it's true. Every time. Ask the birthers, the preppers, the 911 truthers and the weirdos who are afraid of airline exhaust.

    good point, I wish more people had your attitude, specially my ex-wife. She thinks that she should soak in Himalayan sea salt, and drink raw milk. She drinks some kind of drops, which as near as I can tell is some kind of industrial surfactant, because it will clean her cells out.

    We should train our kids in school to be a skeptical about online claims, and *really* skeptical about religious claims.

    No, truth makes a site legitimate. Like on my site where I prove "Once Saved, Always Saved" IS WRONG that I think you believe in.

    Truth comes forth always. Lies cause more lies. Some people are like sheep and some are like goats. Not too bright and follow shepards or each other.
