where can i buy a single share of stock?

without having to buy a stupid frame (oneshare.com), just a single share of stock that i can register in my name.

    You can buy any number of shares you want through any online broker (E-trade, TD Ameritrade, Interactive Brokers, etc), but if all you can afford to buy is one share of a company then perhaps you should be considering other investment vehicles besides buying stock in an individual company. There are many other options out there that may be more appropriate for you.

    Sometimes a bank will do it. BUT any brokerage house will do it.
