What is your opinion on Rick Santorum's remark today?
He said President Obama is wrong for apologizing to Afghanistan for the "accidental" burning of the Quran when they owe US an apology for the deaths of 4 of our soldiers during their violence. This act was not done intentionally and the U.S. is apologizing? AGAIN? Did we ever get an apology for the beheadings? For the burning, hanging, torturing, and killing of our American soldiers?? Rick Santorum will certainly get my vote this election! Obama is a sad excuse for a President!

Rick Santorum has my vote for the 2012 election! He (unlike Obama) has the balls to speak his mind and actually DEFEND, PROTECT and STAND UP for the United States! Obama is NOT a president in my eyes! Instead of kissing everyone's *** and every country's ***, he needs to start representing and standing up for this country, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, the country he is so called the president of. He better not get in for a second term, or our country and its citizens are gonna be fu**ed! He has been nothing but a disgrace to this country and the American people. He wanted change, and it's time for a change! Vote: Rick Santorum for president in 2012!

We are occupying a country whose most sacred book of all is the Quran. We know that. They consider it a horrific act and insult of the highest order that must be responded to by them because of their religious beliefs any time their holy book is not respected. We know that. So we knew what the results would be after this event happened. I absolutely disagree with their reaction, but that is the way they react to this kind of thing – accident or not - and so it was expected, especially towards those of another religion who are presently occupying their country. But an apology was indeed in order. If I accidentally harm, or insult another individual or individuals, I don’t hesitate to apologize. Apologies are not a sign of weakness. It used to be considered a sign of weakness in this country to not apologize when it was warranted – when you had caused harm, or insulted another or other individuals. This is an example of religious violence which has been with us (in all forms and all religions at one time or another) as far back as human history. The idea that our country cannot apologize for anything at anytime under any circumstances is a sign of weakness, just as it is in any individual). It is not the other way around. Rick Santorum should know better! I think he simply chose the best political answer for him and his campaign.

I agree. Why the h*ll should we apologize to them? Obama is not only a sad excuse for a president, but a pathetic excuse for an American. Santorum, or anyone else running against Odumbo, will get my vote this November.

I agree. An apology is this particular propaganda battle of ideologies was an admission of wrongdoing and guilt. Therefore if he plead guilty, he must be punished. No?
It is a mindboggling diplomatic quicksand to navigate but apparently his teleprompters/aides may have said "no problem, just apologize".
