Should I be able to max to 300 on my final pt test at basic?

My scores for the 1-1-1 is 32 pushups in 1 minute, 42 situps in 1 minute and Ran 1 mile in 8:16. I mean shouldn't I cause don't we do py every morning when in basic I mean basic is what 9 wks then we start infantry right shouldn't every single person be able to max it?

You're only taking half of the test at the moment for diagnostic purposes. A lot of people can do what you are doing in one minute. The problem for many is, what about the other minute? You can max your test at the end of basic and that is great, they want the platoon to get the PT streamer anyway but not everyone maxes the PT test and that is why there is a scale, not a Pass/Fail system. If you can do it or want to set that goal for yourself then great, it will always be an asset to your time in the military but not everyone can, many try, they all try, but the number of people who do not max their PT tests far outweigh those that do.

As you stand, no. You reach muscle failure after the first minute of pushups and situps, and after the first mile of the run, so if you're only at 32 pushups and you haven't even reached muscle failure yet, you're not going to be able to make 100 points. Same with the run. You should be able to run 2 miles in 15:30ish just for passing, and you're already at 8 minutes before you've even reached the second mile, which is when most people slow down.

This is, however, still really good. By the end of BCT, if you keep up with the PT and put the effort into it, I'm sure you'll get it.

You slow on everything just an fyi. If you want to max you need to shave 2 min off that run and add 20 sit ups. Oh pudh ups should be near 60.
