When is the dollar collapse expected?

Well you just need to answer this question -- under what circumstance will your local grocery store, your local Wal Mart, your phone company, your local restaurant, and the IRS all decide they will no longer accept US dollars? What will they demand instead? Pesos? Vietnamese Dong? Barter? Gold nuggets? Will any of those things fit in the cash register? How to you do your accounting books when every entry to date has been in US dollars, and suddenly you decide you won't use dollars anymore?

Seems pretty unlikely to me, but if you can answer that question to your satisfaction, you might be able to figure out the "when".

Nobody really know because our monetary system has no backup associated with it (like gold o silver) so, theoretically, as long as we believe a 20 dollar bill equals 20 dollars we would be good. The problem is the are places with stronger economies than us ,such as countries using the Euro, that is causing our money to depreciate. Through all this though I believe the US dollar will fail when China wants us to repay our debts to them (just look at Germany in world war 2).

It isn't expected to collapse.

The movement is cyclic so statisticians would have prediction of next downturn . But collapse has never been there ...so, like the statistical prediction " sun will rise tomorrow morning"... it will never collapse.
