I read a visa statement from my husband?

It had a receipt from Feb.1st for $46.06 for fish n chips in another state. When he got home I asked him how much it costs to eat at said place. He told me it was about $20-22.00. I told him of the receipt. Oh yeah he says, I took a fellow driver out for dinner.

On Feb 1st he called me from state of receipt and told me he was eating the meat that he took from home and was almost out. He was going to the grocery store to stock up on some healthier food.

I mentioned that fellow driver was on the 21st of Feb and the statement for that bill has not arrived yet. This was from the 1st. He told me my dates were all wrong then and he didn't have dinner with fellow driver on the 21st it was on the 1st. He suggested looking at his logbook to say where he was on the 1st and 21st. Lookbook clearly said same state same city both dates. He suddenly remembers eating there on the 1st but said he had two dinners to himself. That's 4 peices of big fish and fries. Yes he did treat fellow driver to dinner at the same place on the 21st too. Thing is there were three supposed to go for dinner on the 21st at a chinese place. My husband only paid for one other guy? Hardly his style. My question to you is this. Would you raise your eyebrows and smell a liar with a secret or would you buy this story? Married 12 years soon to be lucky 13.

Update:

It was actually the first time I ever looked. They are piled up beside me unopened for five years. He never bothers to look or know how much he has on his credit card. He used to bring me all the receipts from his trips and I paid what was on them. Life was simple. I expected him to know where he was at with HIS personal credit card. This is not about his mentality however or his lack of responsibility with his credit. This is about the story he told me. Believable or crap? I am hoping for a vote be it 10-1 or 1-10. A general idea of your reaction to this problem would be great!

I think you are right to think something is up with this you didn't say you never trusted your husband i mean if you made it almost 13yrs and he works out of state there has to be some trust there something obviously stuck out to you so you asked you didn't accuse him of anything he gave you a story that stuck out. Trust doesn't mean going through life with a blinder on. I go through the bills and mail at my house whether it has his name on it or mine and he opens my mail we don't separate things like that so if something stuck out we wouldn't be snooping it would be obvious. This is fishy to me

No, I wouldn't give a receipt a second thought. I trust my husband and I'm not paranoid. Are you thinking he was actually cheating or that he has a hard time recalling what and when and with home he spent $40 with. Get over it.

Yeah... some thing's fishy with that. (bwhahaha! Couldn't resist.)

You know your husband better then we do. Have you noticed any changes in his mood or behavior that might indicate something is happening behind your back? If something is going on then the more you question him the better he is going to get at hiding the evidence. If you want to confront him on it gather all your intel first then hit him all at once.

Or you can just trust your husband. Like I said, you know him better then we do.

From where I'm sitting, it seems like your husband eats with his friends and offers to pay sometimes. I think you're being suspicious of nothing.

Maybe his fellow Driver had a mistress?

Stop it Sherlock. You will drive him to a mistress of his own
