I am 18 years old, 5'7 130, im pretty active.....My dad always just tells me to drink more water, but drinking too much makes me feel sick! I drink a couple bottles of water a day....My friend suggested i might have a kind of diabetes or thyroid problems? my dad is a firm believer in not going to the doctor unless your dying ( hahahahah) so i thought id get some ideas to propose to him about what i need to get checked out. any ideas of what could be wrong?

I think you should go to the Dr for a general check up. Tell dad you think there is something wrong and only the Dr. can tell you if you are dying

Here are some signs of diabetes:
1. You are frequently thirsty
2. You need the toilet a lot
3. Your mouth is dry
4. Your vision is blurry
5. You have cuts and other sores that take a while to heal
6. You experience itching in and around the vagina
7. Your hands and feet feel numb and tingle
8. The skin on your neck, armpit and groin suddenly gets darker
9. You have inexplicably lost or gained weight
If you have these symptoms then it means you have diabetes.

No harm having a thyroid blood test - T3, T4 and TSH. My daughter has all of the above and has thyroid issues. She could eat a large pizza any time and more and was skinny. Goodluck.

Well generally when I'm alive I suffer those symptoms as well. Someone once told me those were three requirements for staying alive so I wouldn't be so worried if you experience them.
Its not like you are always vomiting, never sleep, and are septic.

I think you are drinking too much water. Too much water upsets the body's electolyte balance. I don't think you have any chronic health condition. Diabetes isn't so subtle as what you describe. You'd feel sick and suffer from nausea and vomiting.
